HOW DIFFERENT ARE WE FROM OTHER DISASTER RELIEF ORGANIZATIONS?
We are a young organization, but we have more than 200 years of joint experience in the building industry of Ukraine.
WHY SHOULD YOU GIVE US YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?
We’ll be able to obtain all the necessary licenses and permits from the federal and regional authorities in the most speedy and economical manner.
We will install all the elements needed for the mobile housing both immediately and in the longer run (power, water, gas, outdoor lighting, sewage system, security). We will do it ourselves without delegating these tasks to third parties, saving money with complete transparency.
Because of our experience, while purchasing mobile houses in Europe we will know which of them will conform with the building codes of Ukraine.
We have contacts with Ukrainian trucking companies experienced in transporting mobile homes internationally. They would discount their fees, and we’ll provide them with much-needed business. This will make the trucking process more economical.
Several of our Ukrainian partner organizations, specializing in prefabricated house-manufacturing already have approved architectural plans for constructing housing units and organizing them into the settlements accommodating the displaced and the refugees in the most ruined areas.
With the raised funds, we’ll be purchasing manufactured houses, as well as necessary appliances and furniture in Europe, and delivering them to those in Ukraine who have lost their homes in the Russian invasion.

While everyone who is homeless will be eligible for temporary homes, we believe that priority should be given to housing the large number of construction workers who were displaced by this war and separated from their families.
These professionals are crucial to the reconstruction efforts which will benefit everyone. Having a secure and comfortable mobile home where their spouses and children could join them will give the constructors a great deal of comfort and motivation to do their job well.
Special mobile units could serve a double purpose as schools and/or day cares during the day and in the evenings, they could be used as community centers, weaving back together the social net that has been torn by the war.
Other mobile units designed for medical services will also be a key element of each village of temporary housing.

With your contributions, Rebuild Ukraine Foundation is planning to provide financial support to the Ukrainian architects and construction companies currently working on manufacturing stand-alone mobile homes and creating temporary housing settlements.
While war continues to rage in Ukraine, architects and planners have already started to think about what will happen when the fighting stops. A Kyiv-based architect’s system for creating temporary settlements for displaced people was informed by his own refugee experience.
The architecture studio Balbek Bureau has developed a blueprint for refugee housing designed to shelter people swiftly and at low cost — and in a way that restores some of the community that they’ve lost. The project is government approved, and ready to go as soon as the financing is in place.
If you decide to support these projects, please keep in mind that these Ukrainian companies don’t qualify for a tax deduction in the US. However, you can donate to them through our organization and receive both your tax deduction and full transparency report of how your contribution will actually help these and similar projects.
